In 2024, a new law on immigration may come into force in Russia, which will touch upon issues related to the entry, stay and work of migrants, and will entail the abolition of a number of current acts. This was announced to RIA Novosti by Kirill Adzinov, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for Migration Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
So, Adzinov noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs intends introduce a single document that will replace all documents issued for foreigners, and of all types of entry, two main ones will remain: visa and visa-free. In addition, the law is supposed to clarify the rules for providing medical assistance to migrants within the framework of the compulsory medical insurance and obtaining medical visas.
