Ukraine’s largest state-owned gas company, Ukrgazvydobuvannia, has increased gas production from old problem wells.

This was reported by the company’s press service .

It is noted that an additional 67 million cubic meters of gas were extracted from the old wells. This effect was achieved from the introduction of capillary systems technology. Last year, 75 wells were drilled with renewed vigor.

The technology allows to intensify gas production in complex wells prone to fluid accumulation and reduce production and technological losses.

“Given the positive results of the introduction of this technology last year, we plan to expand the program of its application. The approximate plan for 2022 is to increase the number of operations to 232,” – said the press service of Acting Director General of Ukrgazvydobuvannya Oleg Tolmachev.
