An Armenian conscript, Private Vahe Manaseryan (born 2002), was killed on December 10 while countering an offensive by Azerbaijani armed forces in eastern Armenia (Gegharkunik region), the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.

It said also that eight other servicemen were wounded. The condition of six soldiers is assessed as serious, the condition of the other two as moderate and light, respectively.

Earlier on Friday, it was reported that Azerbaijani army units attacked Armenian military positions located on the eastern section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. As a result of retaliatory actions of the Armenian side, the enemy suffered losses in manpower and was thrown back to their initial positions.
