The Russian Federation not only plays a key role in maintaining peace and stability in our region, but also plays a central role in the economy of our country. This is stated in the greeting message of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, addressed to the participants of the 8th Russian-Armenian Interregional Forum in Yerevan.
“Russia is Armenia’s main trade partner. In 2019, our bilateral trade exceeded the $ 2 billion mark, and this year we have already recorded a double-digit growth in trade turnover,” Pashinyan said in a statement released by the government press service.
The prime minister also noted that Russia is also a leader in investments in Armenia, plays an exceptional role in the development of the infrastructure of our country. Among recent investments, he highlighted the implementation of a technological transfer for the production of the Sputnik Live vaccine, which is especially important for Armenia in the fight against the pandemic.
