The Polish authorities intend to begin construction of a capital fence on the border with Belarus on December 15. This was announced by Senator Krzysztof Mruz on the air of Polish television, RIA Novosti reports .

“Construction will begin on December 15th. We are finalizing the selection of contractors,” said Krzysztof Mruz.

Earlier, the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration of Poland, Mariusz Kamiński, said that the construction of the fence on the Polish-Belarusian border would be carried out in three shifts, 24 hours a day. He said that it is planned to build an engineering fence 180 kilometers long, 5 meters high. This structure will be equipped with electronic equipment: night vision cameras, motion sensors, day vision cameras.
