December 20 in Islamabad held talks Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov with Pakistani President Arif Alvi, according to the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
The parties discussed the intensification of joint actions on the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline and power transmission lines and fiber-optic communications along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) route.

The Pakistan Observer writes that Arif Alvi told Meredov that Pakistan is interested in the early completion of the TAPI construction.
At the meeting, it was proposed to create a committee within the framework of the Joint Working Group to accelerate the process of early completion of the construction of the TAPI pipeline.
