The heads of government of Belarus and Russia Roman Golovchenko and Mikhail Mishustin discussed on Friday during a telephone conversation topical issues of cooperation between the two countries, including in the context of the implementation of integration cooperation. This was reported in the press service of the Belarusian Cabinet.
“The prime ministers substantively discussed the practical issues of implementing the agreements reached during the meeting of the presidents of Belarus and Russia on December 29, 2021 in St. Petersburg,” she said in a statement.
At the end of the conversation, the parties stressed “the focus on the prompt resolution of all issues within the framework of the Union State,” the government of Belarus said.
Trade and economic cooperation
The prime ministers also discussed trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and measures against the spread of coronavirus infection. This was announced on Friday by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation.
“The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko. <…> Mikhail Mishustin and Roman Golovchenko stressed the importance of further deepening integration in the Union State of Russia and Belarus on the basis of the implementation of union programs approved on November 4, 2021 by the Supreme State Council of the Union State,” the statement said.
