Presidents of Russia and France Vladimir Putin and Emmanuel Macron in a new telephone conversation continued to discuss the situation around Ukraine, as well as the topic of providing Moscow with security guarantees from the West. This was reported on Monday by the press service of the Kremlin.

“The exchange of views continued on the situation around Ukraine and issues related to the provision of long-term, legally secured security guarantees to the Russian Federation,” the message says.

It is noted that Putin once again detailed Russia’s fundamental approaches to these problems.

Moscow and Paris will promptly work out the possibility of holding a personal meeting between the Russian and French presidents, the Kremlin press service reported.
