Remittances to Georgia rose 11.2 percent year-on-year to $204.9 million in August, the country’s National Bank said.

Russia ranks first with $37.7 million of money transfers, followed by Italy ($33.6 million) and the United States ($24.6 million).

In August 2021, $26.4 million were sent abroad from Georgia, 18.7 percent more than in August last year.
