Remittances to Georgia rise 15% yr/yr to $230 mln in December-central bank
Remittances to Georgia rose 14.9 percent year-on-year to $229.5 million in December, the country’s central bank said.
Russia ranks first among countries with $39.7 million of money transfers, followed by Italy ($37.9 million) and the United States ($26.7 million).
In December 2021, $33.3 million were sent abroad from Georgia, 35.1 percent more than in December 2020.
