Remittances to Georgia rise 42% yr/yr to $188 mln in May-National Bank
Remittances to Georgia rose 42.4 percent year-on-year to $187.7 million in May, the country’s National Bank said.
Italy ranks first with $31.9 million of money transfers, followed by Russia ($31.8 million) and the United States ($24.2 million).
In May 2021, $22.9 million were sent abroad from Georgia, which is 68.5 percent more than a year ago.
