The media write that mass searches and detentions of representatives of independent trade unions took place in Belarus.
It is reported that on April 19, the chairman of the Belarusian Congress of Democratic Trade Unions (BCDP) Alyaksandr Yaroshuk was detained. As well as his deputy Sergei Antusevich, he is in the KGB pre-trial detention center. And there was also a search in the apartment of an employee of the BKDP office, after which she was taken for interrogation.
According to media reports, the head of the Belarusian Free Trade Union (SPB) Nikolai Sharakh in Polotsk was also searched, he was detained.
It is also noted that a search was also carried out in the Free Trade Union of Metalworkers (SPM). And the lists of detainees include one of the leaders of independent trade unions Alexander Bukhvostov.
