The CEC today at a meeting approved the results of voting in the Talas single-mandate constituency No. 21.
It is clarified that Baktybek Choibekov, who received the majority of votes on him, received nine complaints, and all of them were about the fact that the candidate was engaged in bribery during the campaign. However, in the course of the investigation, these facts were not confirmed, the applicants were denied their request to cancel the registration of Baktybek Choibekov. Thus, Choibekov is not disqualified and will receive a mandate.
The results for Issyk-Ata constituency No. 30 were also approved. Akbokon Tashtanbekov was declared the winner there, with the majority of votes. But he is a suspect in the case of inciting ethnic hatred. If the court finds him guilty, he will be deprived of his mandate and re-elections will be held in the district.
