In the first half of this year, the rise in revenues to the state budget through the State Customs Committee amounted to 0.4%, TURAN reported.
According to the SCC, in January-June this year, 2 billion 29.2 million manats of customs duties and taxes were collected from import and partially from export operations. This is up 9.4 million manats from a year earlier. In June, the volume of fees from foreign trade operations was highest from January 2020 amounting to 376.2 million manats.
In 2021, the plan-forecast of budget revenues through the SCC was approved at the level of 3.9 billion manats.
Recently, entrepreneurs are increasingly complaining that the customs authorities used to set customs value of imported goods at their own discretion thereby overestimating the amount of duties and taxes to be paid. The SCC fails to comment on these public statements.
