On April 9, a Russian delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission on Economic Cooperation Alexei Overchuk arrived in Ashgabat .
Turkmen state-run media provided general information on the results of the visit without specific data.
So, at a meeting with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov , Overchuk discussed the prospects for cooperation in the trade, economic and fuel and energy sectors, agriculture, light and processing industries, the state information agency TDH reports.
The topic of the Caspian Sea was discussed separately, in particular, cooperation in the field of shipbuilding.
On the same day, Overchuk held talks with Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov. The meeting was also attended by heads and representatives of a number of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan and Russia.
Like the TDH, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry limited itself to general phrases about discussing cooperation in the field of energy, gas chemistry, industry, transport, logistics, trade, engineering, and agriculture.
