Russian restaurateurs are ready to establish cooperation with producers of vegetables, fruits, textiles and wine from Uzbekistan, President of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Russia (FRIO) Igor Bukharov told RIA Novosti.
The head of the FRIO held a meeting with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia, Botirjon Asadov. It discussed the interaction of the federation with manufacturers of products from Uzbekistan for restaurants and hotels in the Russian Federation.
“We are interested in vegetables, fruits, nuts. There are entire agro-industrial clusters in Uzbekistan. There are also clusters of light industry where they make linen from cotton and sew textiles for hotels and restaurants. They also have their own winery and they are ready to supply this product as well” Bukharov said.
He noted that earlier products from Uzbekistan were mainly supplied only to the market, and cooperation with restaurateurs was not established.
