The prosecutor of the public relations department of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Cholpon Abdimomunova, told the Kloop journalist that the head of the press service, Belek Kalykov, had been fired from the department.
Kalykov’s dismissal came after a map of Kyrgyzstan was hung at an event with President Sadyr Zhaparov, where the Vorukh enclave was annexed to Tajikistan.
* Vorukh is a Tajik enclave surrounded by the territory of Kyrgyzstan. Border conflicts have occurred around it more than once due to the fact that the authorities of both countries have not been able to coordinate their borders for a couple of decades after the collapse of the USSR.
Abdimomunova also said that in addition to dismissing Kalykov, the head of the organizational support department Kanybek Uzakbaev and the head of the international legal cooperation department Asylbek Akmatov received reprimands.
