The plant is expected to be operational by the end of the year and under the 25-year power purchase agreement with the government Cengiz Energy will sell electricity to the local operator National Electric Grids.

Sixteen investment projects worth over $1.5 billion will be implemented in the automotive industry, housing construction, metallurgy and agriculture.

The meeting will take place in Tashkent from August 31 to September 4 and will be attended by 57 IsDB governors.
