During a meeting with voters, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that the Internet speed in Tashkent will increase 5 times. Also, in the next five years, the programs “Digital Tashkent” and “Smart City” will be implemented.

Within the framework of the programs “Digital Tashkent” and “Smart City”, Uzbekistan is expected to fully equip cities with high-speed Internet. Also, 2000 existing medical organizations, kindergartens, schools, universities and regional offices will be connected to high-speed Internet. All metro stations, bus stops and other public places will also have access to wireless Internet.

It is expected that government services and the pension system will be fully digitalized. A unified medical record, a health insurance system and electronic prescriptions will be launched.

An IT park in Mirzo-Ulugbek district will be commissioned, as a result of which the volume of digital products will reach $ 100 million.
