In the Aksy district of the Jalal-Abad region, seven people were hospitalized with suspected anthrax. Most of them are men, but there are women and school-age children. The head of the department of the Republican Center for Quarantine and Especially Dangerous Infections Kubanychbek Bekturdiev told 24.kg news agency.

According to him, patients have characteristic anthrax carbuncles on the body. One of them tested positive for preliminary laboratory tests, while the rest of the tests are not yet ready.

According to the Ministry of Health, today six people remain on treatment at the center of general medical practice. The condition of one of them is of moderate severity, the rest is in satisfactory condition.
