In Syrdarya region, members of a terrorist group were arrested for distributing materials of an extremist nature.

As it became known, a resident of the Khavast district B.T. fell under the influence of members of a terrorist organization in the Syrian Arab Republic, with whom he communicated via the Internet. Together with like-minded people B.T. regularly distributed among relatives materials of extremist content with calls for jihad. In addition, the leader of the group was going to travel to Syria and join terrorist groups.

The operative measure to detain the group was carried out on November 9 by the SSS Directorate for the Syrdarya region together with the regional Department of Internal Affairs.
