Consumer prices in Tajikistan rose by 0.5 percent in January month-on-month after rising 0.5 percent in December, the Statistics Agency reported.

Annual inflation in January was 7.8 percent, down from 8 percent in December.

In 2021, annual inflation in Tajikistan was 8 percent. The country’s central bank forecasts annual inflation in a range of 4-8 percent in 2022.
