Tax revenues in Azerbaijan surpassed expectations by 27.1% – Economy Minister-TURAN

In January-May this year, tax revenues into the state budget amounted to 3.8 billion manats which is up 27.1% from a forecast figure, TURAN reported.
The growth was achieved due to the non-oil sector, according to Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov.
It ought to be noted that a share of the non-oil and gas sector (2 billion manats) made up 72, 4% in tax revenues. Non-oil revenues surpassed a forecast figure by 471.8 million manats.
According to the State Tax Service, the number of registered taxpayers as of June 1 is 1 million 260.600 of which 12.3% are legal entities. The number of taxpayers increased by 16.5% over the year.
