The Armenian government will allocate 1.155 billion drams to compensate for utility costs and property taxes for residents of the country’s border villages. The corresponding decision was made today at a government meeting.
Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan said that the funds planned for 2022 are provided for residents of 81 settlements in 23 communities of five regions. The funds will be mainly distributed in 4 key areas: real estate taxes, payment for electricity, gas and irrigation water.
“In general, according to this decision, we are dealing with about 100,000 beneficiaries. With this government decision, we alleviate the burden of paying citizens in these 4 areas or close them completely or partially,” he said.
