Azerbaijan has economic ties with Russia. For a long time, the northern neighbor imposed certain restrictions on the import of our products into the country because of its political interests. An example is the control of imports of tomatoes, apples and other similar products. However, today the situation has changed, and our entrepreneurs are no longer very interested in sending their products to Russia.
Economists note that the tension on the political background leads to the isolation of the Russian Federation from the world economy. Russia will try to increase trade turnover with countries that have not imposed sanctions against it. This creates additional opportunities for Azerbaijani entrepreneurs.
According to experts, Russia’s disconnection from SWIFT will make it dependent on the republics of the former USSR due to its inability to meet domestic demand.
