The death toll in the explosion in the Zhambyl region has reached 14 people. The Kapital.kz business information center was informed about this in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

“Sappers of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan found the body of another person, whose identity is being established. Among the dead there are also employees of civil protection bodies. The search for the missing two people continues,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a statement.

Recall that on August 26, 2021, a fire broke out in a military unit in the Zhambyl region at an engineering ammunition depot. A government commission is working at the scene of the tragedy.
