Narzulla Oblomurodov, chairman of the executive committee of the party’s central apparatus, will compete for the post of president of Uzbekistan. He headed the Ecoparty in February this year.

Previously, Oblomurodov worked as First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Ecology and Environmental Protection, headed the department for monitoring and coordinating the activities of the People’s Reception Office of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan.

Five parties registered in the republic have the right to nominate candidates for presidency. The People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (PDPU), the Milliy Tiklanish (National Revival) Party, the Social Democratic Party Adolat (Justice) and the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP) have not yet announced their candidates.
