The European Union will allocate 32 million euros to Kyrgyzstan to support the education system. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Education.
On April 6, Kyrgyzstan and the European Union signed a financial agreement on the allocation of a grant to the Ministry of Education and Science.
“Out of 32 million euros, 27 million will be directed to support the republican budget, and the remaining 5 will be used for additional support,” the ministry said.
The Ministry of Education specified that it would direct the allocated funds to:
- inclusive and fair, quality education that will allow more children to achieve at least a minimum level of STEAM knowledge (science – science, technology – technology, engineering – engineering, arts – arts and mathematics – mathematics). Elimination of gender blindness in new methodological and educational materials and increase in the number of schools with inclusive education,
- development of digital skills and media literacy of teachers and students,
- development of environmental skills, allowing for systematic training for teachers and students.
