The government of Kazakhstan intends to allow the population to be vaccinated with Pfizer vaccine for a fee. For this, a corresponding draft resolution has been developed, Minister of Health Alexei Tsoi said on Tuesday during a government meeting.
“According to the instruction of the IAC to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the territory of Kazakhstan, a draft resolution of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the possibility of selling the vaccine against COVID-19 Comirnaty (Pfizer) on the commercial market for vaccination of the population of Kazakhstan on a paid basis,” said Tsoi.
As Prime Minister Askar Mamin noted, Kazakhstan is now expanding the categories of vaccinated according to WHO recommendations and supported the proposal on the possibility of supplying vaccines to the commercial segment of the market, so that “those who wish can make the vaccine they need for a fee.” At the same time, the head of the Cabinet ordered special attention to be paid to the storage regime of vaccines at storage points and during transportation.
