Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who is in Kazakhstan on a working visit. The interlocutors discussed the prospects for strengthening mutual cooperation in the trade, economic, industrial and technological fields, Kazinform reports with reference to the press service of Akorda.

Welcoming Rustam Minnikhanov, the President noted that Tatarstan occupies an important place in multifaceted relations with the Russian Federation.

As the Head of our state noted, Tatarstan is the leader among the subjects of the Russian Federation in terms of economic, industrial and technological cooperation with Kazakhstan. According to the results of 11 months of 2021, mutual trade with the Republic amounted to $423 million.

A striking example of such cooperation is the implementation of projects in the field of mechanical engineering with the participation of KAMAZ and Tatneft companies worth $1.8 billion.
