Akylbek Zhaparov, head of the Cabinet of Ministers, supported the idea of opening gambling establishments in Kyrgyzstan, saying that such entertainment for tourists is better than if they “use something without drying out.”
Zhaparov said this on March 29 while planting trees with representatives of religious communities and the leadership of the State Commission for Religious Affairs in the Yntymak park.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers stressed that citizens of Kyrgyzstan would not be allowed into the casinos, and they were intended only for tourists.
“Those companies that let Kyrgyzstanis play there will be closed. Malaysia also has a casino. I was in this country by invitation during Ait in 2013. I asked this question too. I was told that Muslim Malaysians don’t go to casinos. Casinos exist for tourists,” Kaktus.Media quotes Zhaparov.
