The International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission today begins discussions with the Ukrainian authorities on the second revision of the stand-by program.
This is stated in the statement of the IMF Resident Representative in Ukraine Vagram Stepanyan.
“The IMF mission led by Ivanna Vladkova Gollar is starting discussions today with the Ukrainian authorities on the second revision of the IMF-supported program. The mission meetings will be held online,” he said.
As UNIAN reported, on June 9, 2020, the IMF Board of Directors approved an 18-month stand-by program for Ukraine with funding equivalent to about $ 5 billion, aimed at helping to overcome the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the beginning of 2021, an IMF mission was working in Ukraine to review the stand-by program. The mission ended without a decision to review the program.
At a repeat mission in October , the IMF and Ukraine reached an agreement at the staff level on the first revision of the stand-by financing program.
