In its forecasts for 2022, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) sets the average price of natural gas at about $ 460 per thousand cubic meters, and oil – $ 67 per barrel of Brent.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, this was announced by Deputy Chairman of the NBU Sergei Nikolaychuk at a briefing in Kiev.
“We are watching the peak of gas prices, more precisely, the peak was two months ago. Next year – and especially in the first half – we expect their further correction. But in general the price will be about $ 460. This is more than twice lower than in the fourth. quarters, but higher than in the previous few years, “he said.
At the same time, Nikolaychuk predicted that oil prices would be close to the current level, but the NBU puts in its forecasts a price of $ 67 per barrel for the Brent brand.
As UNIAN reported, the average price of imported natural gas in Ukraine in November 2021 compared to October increased by 6.5% and amounted to 730.65 dollars or 19.2 thousand hryvnias per thousand cubic meters. The price of Brent oil on December 9 was almost $ 75 per barrel. In early November, the price exceeded $ 85 per barrel.
