The new Minister of Health, Behzod Musayev, intends to reduce the paper bureaucracy in medical institutions. This will affect the reduction of queues for doctors, the Podrobno.uz correspondent reports with reference to the Ministry of Health.
“Sometimes patients have to queue for hours to get an appointment with a doctor. This is due to the excessive number of duties assigned to the employees of the sphere. Most of them are connected with the paperwork,” the ministry said.
Today, doctors and nurses are forced to fill out 26 types of journals, 33 types of reports and dozens of types of forms and forms issued to patients. For example, the Health Care Worker Injury Record may not be needed for months or years, but the nurse must record it on a daily basis. Of the 15 minutes on average allocated to a patient’s appointment, a significant part is spent precisely on filling out the papers.
