“Once again I remind the residents of Isfara that they must live and work with their neighbors in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and good neighborliness, communicate with them and establish friendly cooperation, be tolerant and not give in to emotions,” the President of Tajikistan said at a meeting with leaders and activists of Isfara in last Sunday.
At the same time, as the president’s press service quotes, “As the saying goes, you don’t choose your neighbor.”
He stressed that the solution of border-territorial issues, the coordination of the state border and its demarcation is a very complex process and requires a lot of time and efforts of specialists.
“Tajikistan is a firm supporter of negotiations to find a mutually beneficial solution to existing problems, taking into account the national interests of both sides. I reiterate that border issues between states can only be resolved through negotiations, there is no other way,” the head of state said.
