An anonymous person told the Security Service about the planned assassination of President Volodymyr Zelensky and an armed attack on the Verkhovna Rada building.

This was reported by ” Today ” with reference to the SBU.

“The subscriber was quickly identified. He turned out to be a mentally ill man, a beggar. He called from someone else’s phone, who borrowed from a woman for two minutes,” the statement said.

It is known that the caller introduced himself as Vladimir Alexandrovich Georgiev. When he received a call back from the SBU, a woman, an employee of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, picked up the phone and said that she had lent the phone to an unknown person.

Criminal proceedings were instituted upon the call of an anonymous person.

According to Ukrayinska Pravda , the call came to the SBU hotline, and an anonymous person voiced threats “against the country’s top officials.”

It is noted that the malefactor was a man without a specific place of residence, with signs of mental disorders.
