The status of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev is proposed to be determined in the Constitution of the country. This was stated by a member of the working group on amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Law Yermek Abdrasulov, Total.kz reports.

“As for the status of the first president. The Constitution states that this is regulated by the Constitution and constitutional laws. The working group came to the conclusion that this status should already be determined in the Constitution itself, and not to turn to the law, which specifies these norms. The first president of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the founder of independent Kazakhstan. This status will be determined,” Yermek Abrasulov said at a discussion of innovations in the main law of Kazakhstan.
