The UN is ready to provide further anti-crisis assistance to Armenia in order to counter the new economic situation. Acting UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia Lila Pieters Yahya stated this on Friday at a meeting with Armenian Finance Minister Tigran Khachatryan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance.
Yahya stressed that Armenia is not only part of the UN family, but also a very active member.
Khachatryan presented to the UN Coordinator the impact on the Armenian economy in the context of Russian-Ukrainian hostilities. In his speech, the Minister emphasized and highly appreciated the ongoing close cooperation with the UN and UN specialized agencies in the direction of strengthening the Armenian economy, as well as the effective implementation of the sustainable development goals.
