Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to present diplomats, honorary consuls in Ukraine and employees of other departments who took part in the evacuation of Kazakh citizens from this country to state awards. This was reported in the official Telegram channel of the presidential press service.

“President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev closely monitors the work of the Foreign Ministry and other departments on the evacuation of Kazakhstani citizens from Ukraine. The head of state assesses the measures taken as generally successful,” Berik Uali, press secretary of the head of state, said.

According to him, since the beginning of hostilities in Ukraine, 553 Kazakhstanis have received assistance, of which 432 have returned to their homeland.

As Uali noted, many of them are grateful to the president for their salvation.

“On March 7, the President instructed Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi and Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ukraine Darkhan Kaletaev to present diplomats, honorary consuls in Ukraine, and employees of other departments who took part in the evacuation of Kazakh citizens from this country to state awards,” the presidential press secretary said.
