Turkmenistan provides its airspace for the evacuation of foreign citizens from Afghanistan. This was announced today by the press service of the country’s Foreign Ministry.

“As you know, at present a number of countries have begun to evacuate their citizens in Afghanistan. In this regard, Turkmenistan, fulfilling international obligations, including those arising from the norms of international humanitarian law, provides its airspace for the transportation of the above category of persons by aircraft of foreign states,” the information says.

Earlier, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan made a statement on the situation in Afghanistan and said that the diplomatic missions of our country in Afghanistan continue to work as usual.
