Ukraine and the European Union have signed an agreement on a common aviation area, which will help reduce the cost of air tickets.
The signing took place today at the 23rd Ukraine-EU summit in Kyiv.
The document was signed by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal, Vice President of the European Commission, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrel and Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Ukraine Tomaž Mentsin.
As UNIAN reported, in June, the Council of the European Union agreed to sign an agreement on a common aviation area between Ukraine and the EU.
This agreement will open the air transport market, offering new opportunities for both consumers and operators. In particular, it will help reduce the cost of air tickets and expand the geography of travel.
