Ukraine asks the Red Cross to urgently assist in the creation of humanitarian corridors, as agreed during the talks with Russia.

This was reported by the press service of the President’s Office. 

“The Ukrainian state asks the International Committee of the Red Cross to urgently take the necessary steps to organize humanitarian corridors and is ready to do everything necessary to evacuate civilians and deliver humanitarian goods,” the statement said. 

Currently, a number of Ukrainian towns and villages are on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe. In these settlements there is a lack of food, water, medicine, no electricity and centralized water supply. Thousands of people need to be evacuated.
