Ukraine is studying the possibility of importing gas from Romania.
According to the press service of Naftogaz Ukrainy, this was stated by Chairman of the Board Yuriy Vitrenko.
He noted that, in addition to its own production, the company has significant reserves of gas in underground storage facilities and the ability to quickly import large volumes of gas from European destinations.
“We have the opportunity to import gas from various European countries – Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, now we are calculating the option of importing from Romania. We have quite diversified imports, so we are confident that we will be able to meet the effective demand of Ukrainian industry. gas of own production and gas which is in storages “, – Vitrenko’s press service quotes.
As of October 17, natural gas reserves in Ukrainian underground storage facilities (UGS) amount to 18.66 billion cubic meters, which is almost 34% less than last year.
