Servicemen of the 79th brigade of Nikolaev destroyed the enemy column, which was moving towards the regional center.

This was reported by the command of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is noted that the paratroopers conducted reconnaissance near Nikolaev.

“The danger for the soldiers in this situation was that they, in fact, had to call fire on themselves, but this did not stop the desperate,” the message says.

As a result of well-coordinated actions of scouts and gunners, three army trucks with ammunition, two tankers and a BMD-2 airborne combat vehicle were destroyed.

“Having suffered significant losses among its military equipment and personnel, the enemy was forced to stop the movement of the column in the direction of Nikolaev and retreat,” the report says.
