A serviceman of the border troops of Uzbekistan died in a shootout on the border with Afghanistan, the Podrobno.uz correspondent reports with reference to the Nigokh Telegram channel close to the administration of the President of Uzbekistan.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke about this at a meeting with voters in Namangan.

The conflict took place on September 26 when a drug lord from Afghanistan tried to illegally cross the state border of Uzbekistan.
