The press service of the Ministry of Energy informs that a delegation of the International Energy Agency (IEA) recently visited the capital of our republic.

The parties held the second stage of an in-depth review of the energy policy of Uzbekistan. The fact is that the IEA is an autonomous body, but it is part of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). And the IEA acts as a consulting organization that acts to promote the world’s supply and demand patterns for energy resources and energy services.

Uzbekistan works with the IEA because the Agency’s annual general energy and sectoral reports enjoy authority in the world community. Now the IEA is implementing programs to support sustainable energy policies in the countries of the Eastern Partnership and Central Asia.

Our republic became a participant in this program, so the IEA undertook a three-stage in-depth review of the energy policy of our country. This review is led by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
