Uzbekistan has signed a package of contracts and investment agreements worth $7.8 billion during the two-day international forum held in the capital Tashkent last week, the Investment and foreign trade ministry said.

The ministry added that preliminary agreements were also reached on the implementation of projects worth $3.5 billion in various sectors of the economy.

The forum became a large-scale business event that brought together more than 2,000 participants – major investors and high-ranking guests from 56 countries of the world.
