Uzbekistan to raise wages, pensions by 10% from September
Uzbekistan plans to increase salaries of the state employees, as well as pensions, scholarships and benefits by 10 percent from September 1.
According to the presidential decree, the minimum monthly wage in the Central Asian nation of 34 million is set to be 822,000 Uzbek soums ($77) from September 1.
The base calculated value, which is used to define the volume of taxes, fines and other state duties, will be 270,000 soums per month.
Uzbekistan raised wages and the base calculation value in February this year, and the minimum volume of pensions and social benefits were increased in July.
