Uzbekistan’s current account deficit amounted to $2.5 bln in Q1-Central Bank
Uzbekistan’s current account deficit amounted to $2.5 billion in the first quarter of 2021, which is about $500 million less than at the end of 2020, the Central Bank said.
Trade deficit of $3.7 billion and primary income was partially offset by the positive balance at $1.2 billion of secondary income, it said citing the preliminary data.
The regulator said that it would present the final reporting data of the balance of payments, the country’s international investment position and external debt for the first quarter of 2021 in June.
