Uzbekistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 3 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2021, the State Statistics Committee said based on preliminary estimates.

The annual growth in the Central Asian nation’s agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector amounted to 3.1 percent, industry – 3.8 percent, construction – 0.5 percent and services – 2.8 percent.

Per capita GDP grew by 1 percent year-on-year to $353.4 in January-March.
